Aileron Trim

Recommended Posts

I realize that this might sound like a dump question, but I'll take my chances... :)  When I first purchased the A36, it was a joy to fly. I had no problems to get it to fly straight and level without using the autopilot. However, since I like to test all the buttons and wheels, I moved the AIL TRIM wheel. I shouldn't have... The purpose of the AIL TRIM is of course to trim the ailerons = the airplane will roll if it was level. That is exactly what is happening. My problem is that I just can't seem to get it back to "zero" again. I am trying to just adjust a little but it always seems to be too much. I tried to just end my flight and load up a new flight, but the AIL TRIM is in the same position as where I left it.

Is there anyway to "reset" the AIL TRIM to factory default? Or, and this is where my question might go stupid, was I just wrong in the beginning to remember the A36 as easy to fly straight and level? Is it normal for this airplane to be "jumpy"?

Any thoughts?

If you have saved the A36 flight, and restart the flight, you will likely have the same settings as when you left off.

What happens if you start FSX with the default C172 and then switch to the A36?

I would expect it to have the aileron trim at neutral.. check the Tooltip to see if it is at zero.

BTW, visually, this is what mine looks like when set to zero..

Thanks! How stupid of me to not remember the tool tip - tip. :) I now managed to reset the trim. The airplane is banking hard to the right when the AIL TRIM is at zero however. I suspect that it might be my Saitek and FSUIPC that needs some looking.

Thanks anyway!
