I personally don't mind the green text for the login, but when it shows up as one of those FSX ATIS scrolling text lines when you're trying to listen to the Vatsim controllers ATIS it gets annoying. (Yes I have the FSX ATC sound off/down to 0, but you still see the green bar with the writing - usually not matching anything in the ATIS you are listening to.)

 

Unfortunatley, no idea on how to get rid of it :( Sorry couldn't be of more help.

 

Not even sure where to look, there's gotta be some file somewhere buried with the text fonts etc somewhere. I remember back in FS9 editing some dll or cfg somewhere to remove (or even edit) the red "Brakes" and "parking brake set, press period (.) to release" text that appears on the bottom left (to just a dot), but never did remove the green stuff up top.

Think that if you look into your FSX.cfg (loacated in C:users/*username*/appdata/roaming/microsoft/FSX, that is in windows 7 for example) you have to find a line with VATSIM that says "1" as a value, changing that value to "0" (without the " ") should get the greenline away.

Personnaly I don't have the VATSIM line in my FSX (not a member) but for the videomaking perpose I got rid of the view text in the upperfightcorner and many other lines.... But unfortunatly I dont know how this VATSIM line will look so you'll have to find that yourslef....

Ow and please before you start changing the value, make sure you've made a backup!

Of course as it is very difficult to re-edit the file and change a '0' back to a '1' :lol:
