April 6, 201313 yr What's the maximum Hertz on the monitor? I literally just got the ASUS VG278HE 27" 144hz, I am noticing smoother movement but not any significant difference in the frames. That looks like a good monitor, what's it like? It should be great for 3d Simmo W, Melbourne, Ozhttp://www.youtube.com/user/id5556

It should be great for 3dI haven't actually been able to use the 3D feature as of now. Mainly due to the fact that they aren't included in the box and you have to buy them separately. I will however have them by 2 weeks. As for the monitor performance; it's a superb monitor, great performance and that 144HZ 2ms response time really goes great in FPS type games. In FSX everything is in great detail taking full affect of that 1920x1080 display (coming from a 1680x1050 @ 60HZ display) is a big improvement. There are noticeable backlight leaks when in dark environments in-game etc... But that's expected in LCD displays. 27" is quite a big size for a monitor, but just a perfect one too. It has several colour settings you can switch between, from Game mode - night mode. It does come out of the box a bit on the bright side, but it's easy to change the brightness to your liking.
