Nice pics, but I'm a bit disappointed you didn't go under the cable cars for the first pic! 

Ive been planning on doing somthing like this but in a A-26 start off at khqm then hop across the Atlantic via Greenland and Iceland then across Europe over to Mongolia then Sibera then across the bearing sea to Ak then down the coast.

Leg 5 SBNT-LPMA

 

Needed two attempts to complete this leg.  I got distracted taking pics of the approach to Madeira on the first flight and accidently engaged the autopilot when I jumped back into the cockpit.  I was able to get the autopilot switched off but had lost too much speed and stalled into the runway and crashed.  Reset back to Natal for the second attempt which was competed without incident.

A short leg to Lisbon.  Light fuel load, full passengers, an easy run.

I am glad to see that you made a safe landing in Madeira 2nd time around. Those great pictures came at a high cost. ( A new plane and time to fly a new leg )

Over Iberia and across the Med to Athens. A nice Sunday afternoon flight.

Thanks for your kind comments and suggestion. The CalClassic site is a great resource and I visit it regularly. I fly a lot of different era aircraft so a retro package, while appropriate for this trip, would be out of place when I fly the NGX or Q400.
