April 17, 201313 yr Yes I think there is only one Superjet underway. By the same author, and also something of an unfinished labour: Harald, both of these have pretty good external modelling as you can see; I believe the 787 was destined for AI use but it is too good for that. For both models, the flight dynamics, panel (there is a VC planned for the SS100) and systems are in the early stages of development. But I am sure that with all the talent available in the FS9 pool, these are matters that can be sorted out over time.
April 17, 201313 yr I will particularly follow the development of the SSJ-100. A well modelled Sukhoi would be the reason for me finally to change over to modern planes. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
April 17, 201313 yr Is the SSJ-100 payware or freeware? I hope it is going to be payware since I expect much from it.. I was there when Sky Aviation received its first SSJ last month, the model is fantastic.. hope they read this )
April 17, 201313 yr The author of the SSJ-100 has already done a very nice EMB-110. Also available on Flightsim. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
April 17, 201313 yr I would like to donate some money for his efforts, but I don't find any information about this on the site venesim.com??? Last weekend I saw my first RW SSJ-100, Aeroflot SVO-DRS flying the ILS approach rwy 22 at EDDC. Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
April 18, 201313 yr I am really interested in that SS100. What does it have for a panel in it's current state? The exterior looks nice, but a nice VC, or at least very nice 2D panels are a must have. I know someone mentioned a VC is planned, but if it's freeware, I'm really wondering how nice it will be.
April 18, 201313 yr The Sukhoi Superjet 100 is a very nice package. Only a 2D panel at present but you need to follow the start checklist to get everything fired up. Today I only had time for a short flight but it handles nicely. Well worth the effort to familiarise yourself with the aircraft. Pete.
April 18, 201313 yr Cool. Is there any way you (or someone else) could share a screenshot of the 2D panel? Sorry, it's just I'm not at home right now so I can't download it myself to try out yet. I'm just curious about what to expect.
April 18, 201313 yr Pics of the aircraft & panels here ............ http://www.vanisleva.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13417 Pete.
April 18, 201313 yr Looking forward to trying out the SS100 once the VC is complete. Great looking exterior model too. Nature Boy
April 19, 201313 yr Now the SSJ-100 comes to life with a lot of liveries (at venesim.com), as example: What a pity that this airline doesn't exist anymore... Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
April 19, 201313 yr My goodness things move fast in the airline business! This time last month Armavia was happily flying into Zwartnots! (Great FS9 scenery BTW!)
April 19, 201313 yr (Great FS9 scenery BTW!) It's one of the best freeware I have ever seen. May I confess that Armavia will continue to exist within my FS2004. Even their Yak-42 will then and when be seen at my hub UGTB, coming over from UDYZ. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
April 19, 201313 yr Bravo Harald. It's all a matter of personal choice, but I love keeping airlines and beautiful liveries alive within my own FS9 world. Some day when all the mergers are completed and we have a handful of huge, bland airlines pretending to compete, it will be nice to be able to show people how it used to be... I totally agree about Zvarnots UGEE - truly an amazing scenery and although it's now several years old, still shows how freeware can be cutting edge.
April 20, 201313 yr Thanks Ian! In my case, I try to preserve not only liveries, but also these old planes. Guess why NAC still flies the DC-6 in my sim... I particularly love these Russian/Soviet planes who have served 30 or 40 years in rough conditions and who are sorted out now sometimes due their sheer age, but often enough only due their "noise". I think that the lack of payware sceneries for (former) CIS countries has brought the developers of freeware to outstanding results. Beside UDYZ/UGEE, UGTB and UKBB, I have over 70 Russian/CIS sceneries, many of them in payware quality, and only two of them are actually payware - Koltsovo and Vilnius. This is a surprising conclusion to this thread indeed: Let's fly our old planes to new destinations. (Until the SSJ-100 is fully developed of course, it's the ideal plane for these destinations...)
