Never happened to me, but try to re-install SP1 and, during the installation, check that installer is pointed to the right folder(where you have FSX installed).

Wait, you can't just install like that all fsx and all SP pack's! You need too restart PC and run fsx and load the default flight. Then try again.

You should do this before instaling SP1 too. And there are some libraries and other things you need to install for fsx and addons to run properly.

I suggest you to takke a look here: http://www.simforums.com/Forums/topic34141_post198187.html#198187http://www.simforums.com/Forums/topic34141_post198187.html#198187

How that can be posible? What message you get?

Try this:

 - Uninstall FSX completely, first try to uninstall SP2, then SP1, and then whole FSX - just to be sure

-Clean your PC and Registry with CCleaner for example: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

 - restart PC

 - try to install again folowing Nick N. guide very carefully

Use the following guide to uninstall/reinstall fsx properly - http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx.  When you uninstall FSX completely, follow B247NG's suggestion above and use the CCleaner.  Then reinstall FSX as shown in the link I just provided.

Best regards,

Jim

No, there isn't. Just do it, and get it over with.

It will provide a clean install.

Most FS vendors provide a means to get to the software you purchased in the past and it will also contain the serial number.  You should always save your registration/serial numbers.

Instead of uninstalling and reinstalling FSX, you can try to do a repair by inserting the first FSX disk and selecting the repair option.  Once FSX is finished, double click on SP1 and select repair when the install program appears.  Once completed, doubleclick on SP2 and install it.  As someone else noted, you should always run FSX at least one time before installing SP1.  Once SP1 is installed, you must run fsx at least one time before installing SP2.  That way the information will be accurate in your system registry.

Best regards,

Jim
