April 20, 201313 yr If we're allowed to nominate computer programs like Agent Smith, may I suggest Microsoft Powerpoint? I think quite a few of the characters mentioned so far are about equally fictitious......... We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. April 20, 201313 yr Here's my list: Messala (Ben Hur, portayed by Stephen Boyd) Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars, portrayed by Ian McDiarmid) Col. Nathan R. Jessup (A Few Good Men, portrayed by Jack Nicholson) Warden Samuel Norton (Shawshank Redemption, portrayed by Bob Gunton) Katharine Parker (Working Girl, portrayed by Sigourney Weaver) Had to throw in a woman in the last spot. I chose these characters because they were all well played and all showed different facets of being bad guys(gal) One more bad guy to add to the list--the copilot in Airport 77, Banker (portrayed by Monte Markham). I wanted to have one aviation related bad guy. John
April 20, 201313 yr How about the Marshmallow Man for most memorable? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d8/Stay-puft-marshmallow-man.jpg
April 20, 201313 yr Messala (Ben Hur, portayed by Stephen Boyd) Col. Nathan R. Jessup (A Few Good Men, portrayed by Jack Nicholson) Agreed Plus: Lyle Wallace (Ernest Borgnine) from "Convoy" Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) Wile E. Coyote (well, I know he is not really a bad guy, but still he has his evil moments, especially in the episodes with Bug Bunny) Florian

April 20, 201313 yr About Night of the Hunter: I got confused seeing the new thread 'Fate is the Hunter'. Thought the thread would be about this movie, instead of that book. In Heaven's Gate, the bad guy winds up the good guy/hero in the Johnson County Wars. April 24, 201313 yr 1)Joe Pesci (Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas) What a funny guy. 2)Daniel Day Lewis (Bill Cutting in Gangs of New York) Such a cut-up. 3)Gene Hackman (Little Bill in Unforgiven) Just flat-out bad Joe Pesci knocked that one out'a the park. DD Lewis is now technically the greatest actor of all time, as he is the only one in history with three Oscars (Tom Hanks got real close with Castaway). Gene Hackman; No one... and I mean NO ONE, plays Gene Hackman better, then Gene Hackman. I imagine every director he's ever acted for just said "Be yourself". GH just needs a costume, and he's good to go. The only other actor I can think of who always plays themselves in every role would be William Shatner.
April 24, 201313 yr I'd still take Hanks as an actor. Sorry, I just watched Forrest Gump, such a great movie that I wished never ended. You're correct about Hackman though. James D. Edwards
