Majestic Q400 website up and running

Featured Replies

I was thinking the same thing.  Pro seems like what I'd want, but it won't be out for a while.  The website said "Upgrades can be issued by the particular online stores, subject to the store policy" which is wonderfully ambiguous. :-(

Well, I think what we need to do is write emails to both JustFlight and Simmarket and see who will have the best upgrade deal.

Let's pit the stores against each other like a high school football star milking colleges for all they're worth.  But Simmarket, JustFlight's upgrade fee is only $20! Surely you can do better than that....

The Pro version will be "NGX" like. The training will have separate features-not systems wise though- that we will neve use. It's for "Training"

Lee

From memory the training version has stuff like an instructors station that can set up failures and stuff?

Seems that it assumes you'll want reverse assigned to the lower portion of the throttle levers's travel. Well I've got a Cyborg X and the throttle levers have a really REALLY short travel and no physical indents. So I'd like to know if it's possible to not have reverse there? I usually have "F2 keystroke" with repeats assigned to a button.

You CAN set reverse to the lower portion of the throttle's travel. The configuration utility allows you to set virtual detents on your throttle levers. You can set IDLE to the lower part, leaving reverse outside and then use the key/joystick assignments of your preference. Long press F2 works too.

HI,

just to be sure, until now i use FSUIPC for all my controls. The manual says

"The MJC8Q400 reads the flight control axis information from the FSX" - i have unticked the box "use joystick" in the main FSX menue - will this be a problem?

lookig forward! chris

We are pleased to confirm that owners who have purchased the Majestic Dash 8 Q-400 for FSX from Just Flight will be able to upgrade through Just Flight to the next editions when they are available, with the upgrade cost simply being the price difference between the current owned version and the next version with no additional cost.

Thanks

Unless Majestic is doing some special external shared pit setup i doubt it. The way FSX shared pit works requires that the gauge modules be identical and even then there are still some hoops to jump through that MS failed to notify us about...

Majestic will develop their own shared cockpit system, not using the default FSX setup.

I don't know, however, will it be cross-version compatible or not.

That is a very refreshing and important piece of information for many of us. Thank you for taking the time to post here.
