Yes, that is why I hate macros (and I'm glad in this case that PMDG does always need one year to make the first patches ;) )

 

 

I'm currently not willing to change the macros numbers all over again as I have done it just a few weeks ago ...sorry.

Takes me several hours always.

 

Maybe another one would like to jump in?

However I can tell you that I got now support from Majestic. Still a tough show, but I managed it.

We do not need any macros in future and have access to all functions.

Currently working on it, give me some days to finish it.

 

 

What already works is a cool "semi-intelligent" display for the VRInsight Combos:

It shows the status of the following things:

External power connected and on

APU on and running

Flaps

Condition levers

Cabin temperature (just MCP 2)

 

(Only 2 items shown at time, depending on it's importance)

Version 1.0 is ready.

Have a look at the first post in this thread

 

Features:

  • All switches are working (most on/off/toggle) except Fire and FDR and all FO-side functions
  • "semi-intelligent" MCP Combo displays: dependend on importance the display will show APU state, GPU state, Conditions Lever, Flaps state, Cabin Temp (Cabin Temp only for MCP Combo2)
  • "switch bundles" for several functions: e.g. all panel lights with one button
  • cold and dark function (from default loading state)
  • no macros needed

 

 

EDIT: nearly all function names are the same from the previous versions. But was not possible for all. If a functions does not work, please reassign it.

hello. i have a question regarding the heading and the altitude knobs. This problem occured also with the macros and now i have the same problem.

For instance, when i turn the altitude know to the right it jumps 200 feet instead of 100 and sometimes when I turn the knob to the right it jumps 1000 feet.. this also happens with the heading .. sometimes heading just 1 as it should be, sometimes 3 and sometimes 10.. how can i fix this? thanks in advance

Yes, I encountered this also ...

I can't blame LINDA, better said, I can't see obvious issues.

 

But I think with the Dash8 external FDE synchronising is sometimes some weird behave. Smiliar like the plane jumps or freezes sometimes.

 

But I'm just guessing ...

I specially registered on the forum to tell you "THANK YOU A LOT!, dhanny-wad!".

 

I bought Majecstic DASH8 in December and I bought full set of Saitek panels for my son, he had long been waiting for this, and here's the surprise -  panels not work with the DASH8!  I'm not a virtual pilot, I'm just the father of 12 years old virtual pilot. I found on the Internet the Linda, I found the first versions of macro from Pero and from you, I added some my macros in December - make it work! With versions 1.0 and 1.1 EVERYTHING on multiswitch and autopilot panels works fine without any my additional macros! Thank you so much!

 

Do you have plans to make Saitek Radio Panel completely functional with Majestic DASH8?

Artem is the developer behind the LINDA "core engine", I just develop the modules.

 

The thing is, that we need time, encouragement and the hardware to develop it.

Mostly it is lacking one, mainly the hardware ^_^
