May 6, 201313 yr I would have thought an honorable mention would have gone out for a Ford Crown Victoria... Hey the Crown Vic not a bad car... very few cars on the road in my area that it couldn't chase down. Not half-bad styling and quite comfortable. I always thought the Gremlin a cool looking car... especially when hopped up. The Pinto, on the other hand... nothing you could do with that ugly duckling. Gremlin from a pic on Wiki:

Gremlin from a pic on Wiki: AMC Gremlin.JPG That's because those aren't crown vic's but Police Interceptors with a 5.0 or 5.8!!! In the old days that meant a modified street car, nowadays it means a purpose built vehicle with completely different components built from the frame up for Law Enforcement. With Ford you can not interchange an interceptor part with a street part anymore, technically it would no longer be considered purpose built. Wait unit you see the new SS's coming from Australia. (NJ has 800 on the way) The Dodge's are awesome but having the gear shift in the center console is a HUGE issue... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

May 6, 201313 yr I drove the ones from "the old days"... Those were just pure beast, all muscle but stock brakes and suspension, the one's from the new days are scary fast, (even the trucks) but also have modified suspension and brakes and they are true high performance machines... Not to mention the new BMW's Police bikes which are just an S1000RR with different plastics... Or you could just go to Dubai where they have a women's superbike police force, a Lamborghini and a Ferrari FF all as marked vehicles!!! Turns out they just picked up an Aston a Bentley and a Benz as well.... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
May 7, 201313 yr I think out of them all I would want to be AstonCop... The superbikes are limited to females! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

The problem with police forces that have cars like this, is people would commit crimes, just to get a ride in one  Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

May 7, 201313 yr But Knight Rider was the show... KITT was the car and don't forget his evil twin KARR Oops, your right. I remember my mom years ago telling me it was just a fad and one day they'll be newer and better looking cars to take KITT's place (or should I say this modified Trans Am). I must say in 2013 KITT still looks awesome and would turn heads with the best of them. The modified look of that Trans Am is classic... May 7, 201313 yr Lots of good picks in this thread! One thing I like about many sports cars is they don't fit what seems like the universal mold used to make passenger sedans. When I look at cars like my Camry, the Chevy Malibu, the Ford Fusion and other sedans of the same size, they all look amazingly alike. I know some of that is due to the passenger protection (side airbags) that require roof pillars to be fairly thick. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of originality in design anymore. Some older sedans seem to look better than today's. I loved the look of the Chevy Corsica when it first came out. My favorite was the Dodge Intrepid. I hope one day we see more originality in the way such sedans appear. John
