05MAY13 - Release Dates on the 777 and Our Silence on Same

Featured Replies

every day extra we wait equals more bugs and annoyances fixed.. considering that just one unsolved bug can lead to hundreds of frustrated posters starting and commenting on threads that clog up the avsim forums its a no brainer to get on with your life until it turns up..

.. when your wife announces WE pregnant you don't say hey i want it NOW you just wait full term and love whatever pops out afterwards..

The difference is:

If your child "pops out" ugly - you'll love him/her anyway due to that "hormones thing" ...   tongue.png

BTW, the PMDG T7 looks real good already, judging from the ultrasound ...  :Nerd:

and there's plenty of info already on the Net for parents2be to be absorbing so they don't need to bug the midwife with questions like 'are we there yet?!'

Guys now i running scared WE are expecting twins on the 3rd July, eish now im worried, luckilly in my case the "developer" are doing pretty good and all the ultrasounds done shows the wingribs, landing gear, flightdeck windows, FDR all were attached to the GPU.

you see there in my predicament, as i wont have much time to enjoy the 777 before i have to be the "Mechanic" "Wash Bay" the P0O Truck" the "Catering Services" and "Inflight Entertainment"

I would rather have a fully developed aircraft as opposed to (insert other companies here)'s abortion of an aircraft release.

I admit that i was one of those who demanded only an update about the product

I have never asked for a release date as i am pretty sure that whatever happens, even if i buy a 777 and park it in my backyard i wont get a release date from PMDG

the thing is we all feel excited to see progress, i am excited for a release but an update would kill my appetite no?

I'm sorry if that annoyed you robert, but i am pretty sure that you understand how people are frustrated and anxious for this product.

I wish you all the best and we are all waiting for that :D

May be Aug! I can't wait!

Waiting for the comment of PMDG guy's about the product page ! :P

I agree about not giving dates and think your right, but the statement I have to say makes me lol. Why?

Still on you web site is the vid showing the "NGX coming this summer", nope...it was around 14 months later, you posted the vid and later you said it would be that Christmas.

Feb last year you said the DC 6 would be in our hands very soon? 14 months later....nope

The 777, no release dates but you went into great lengths to explain the NGX was the building block for all your aircraft to come and you expected the 777 to only take around 6 months and implied you could bring the 747v2 within the same time frame.

So 1 1/2 years later and.....nope

So I think it no surprise people asking Q. No "release dates" but ....come on. How about "no release dates or silly hints on them"

I'm happy with my Q400 so I've all but forgot about the 777, but pls don't make out "we never give release dates", come on! Really!

Your products are first class and I love and have all of them, and there done when there done is fine, but its you that comes out with all the "hints" and "dates".

+1

Well, I can understand PMDG on this. It makes sense for them not to provide a release date on these products. These are high fidelity simulations and having a few people working on it (and very likely part time), is no easy task.  Unlike Aerosoft, who has an entire simulation company that is perhaps bigger, PMDG has is  more into "more in-dept systems" as well, and will take some good amount of time to complete.

I believe that given the above reasons, the only time PMDG would be able to realistically give a date or a "closer date" is when it's almost complete.

Aerosoft is mainly a publisher. Most of the developments published by them are not inhouse ...

(They publish PMDG boxes, for example ...   B))

Correctable
