What do the flags signify on the PMDG 777 livery at the back of the aircraft?

Not sure but I think its the pmdg developers home country's ?

Richard is correct

I feel proud to have a union jack flag on the side! The last thing came out of the UK was Piers Morgan..... so to have something people actually like is a bonus!

Wicked awesome!  Those strobes look similar to the Air Force KC-10's...them things will blow your eyeballs out.  Looking forward to the in-depth flight deck shots.  Might we see a slice of coffee cake next to a PMDG coffee mug somewhere

Randazzo,

Upon landing, have you accurately programmed how the 777 weight sinks into the landing gear once the bogies are flat on the ground? There's a few split seconds that once the bogies become "on the ground" the aircraft is still very much flying and it's not until the wings loose their lift that the weight of this beast is thrown on to the bogies/hydraulic shafts.

If you look carefully at this video, you can actually see it sinking into it's landing gear at apprx; 00:19-00:21.

Hi, I'm not speaking for mr Randazzo or pmdg. But I believe this feature is already modelled in several fsx aircraft and is pretty standard. I know for certain during my days of flying the posky 777 that the boogies sink in after touchdown. They would even sink deeper or rise up in response to changing fuel loads. I'm sure this would be implemented on the pmdg 777 too.

We've not seen much of the interiors yet, but .... most importantly .... where is the PMDG cola? "Only 1,250 calories".

Super to see these pictures of a long awaited plane! It is more then we could have expected.

However am i the only one noticing that there are no cabin lights on? How about some mood lights? (dont know whether this has been asked or discussed before).

Cant wait for her to be released!

Cabin lights are turned off (or nearly so) for departures and arrivals at night in order to acclimate passengers eyes to the darkness.  This is important in case of emergency.  I have a feeling they'll be just like the NGX or better.  Developers don't often have a habit of stepping backwards.

I understand why they are turned off.

I was reffering to them (perhaps) not been moddeled yet. And someone knows anything about possible mood lighting.

Didn't mean to take a shot at your intelligence or anything, but you'll note all of the shots at night are while the aircraft is in the phase where they'd be turned off anyway.  As such, your comment "noticing they were turned off" hinted towards not understanding why, instead of a question of if they'd been modeled.

The mood lighting would be interesting to hear about, however.

Just enjoy the screenshots that were given, there were more than enough, the FD pics will be released when they are released. Rob treated us well with these ones.

The PMDG 777F has just as much detail as the 200LR (and it will come in the same package) including a set of custom views so that your "wing view" positions properly line up with the wing viewing portals built into the side of the 777F fuselage so that the crew can do a visual inspection of the wing for ice accumulation.

Hang on a second... Proper Ice Accumulation? That'd be nice!

The mood lighting was my idea way back in 2012  . Asked the devs if they would implement it

Got laughed at quite a bit for it (by other users) you can search the forums and check
