KFC150 manual

So I learned that the X-plane shipped with a nice neat manual for this Otto, us FSX guy are just SOL I guess.

 

Here's the issue,

 

     Can the plane intercept a GS?  I've checked everything I know to check.  I have it in heading and ALT mode, then I select APR, once the plane hits the LOC it does indeed follow it and the HDG light goes off, the "ALT" light stays on as usual.  THEN I get to where the GS goes active, I see the two bugs move down the screen, but the ALT light stays on and the GS annunciator light stays off, the plane seems to never go into GS mode.  Any help?

 

Also what odes the "cpld" and "arm" lights on the annunciator panel mean?

 

I wish I had a copy of that manual the X-plane customers got, all this would likely be answered.
