I have a couple of questions when having FS2Crew to handle the doors automatically.

 

1. Is FS2Crew supposed to close the L1 door before gate departure and if so what is the trigger for that to happen?

 

2. Is FS2Crew supposed to close the L1 door after gate arrival and when the PAX has deboarded the a/c and if so what is the trigger for that to happen?

 

Up until now I've been handling the doors manually but thought I would try to let FS2Crew handle them. What I've found on the few flights I've made so far it doesn't seem FS2Crew will close the L1 door before p/b but I have to do this manually. The cargo doors on the other hand are closed automatically.

 

On gate arrival at the destination FS2Crew opens the cargo doors automatically and the L1 door is also opened automatically after I issue the "Cabin crew, door may be opened" but then after running through the securing a/c checklist I found the L1 door to still be opened so I had to close it manually.

1. L1 Door will close prior to pushback.  Trigger is running the pre-flight events routine and the Time Remaining is 2 minutes.

 

 

2. Doors will not close during the securing a/c checklist... remember, you'll still in the cockpit...

So, to put it simple FS2Crew when set to automatically handle the doors will...

 

- close the doors on gate departure

- open the doors on gate arrival

 

...leaving you to manually open the door on the first flight of the day when you arrive at the a/c and the door is closed and in the same way make sure you close the door manually behind you when you leave the a/c after the last flight of the day - correct?

Just a short follow-up question on the cargo doors, when are these opened/closed by FS2Crew and what are the triggers for those?

FS2Crew will open the pax and cargo doors during gate dep (assuming you run the pre flight events).

 

FS2Crew will close the pax and cargo doors prior to pushback (assuming you run the pre flight events)

 

At gate arrival, FS2Crew will open the pax and cargo doors.

 

It will not close those doors in case you are doing a turnaround.

 

If you want to "secure" the aircraft, you will need to manually close the doors if desired.
