May 15, 201313 yr a lot of people praise xp10 for being awesome at night but on my computer I also get an amazing day experience with max settings and HDR ON or OFF. :drinks:
May 16, 201313 yr I can't stand X-Plane during the day when flying high altitude because it looks like the earth is molding in to magma 15nm away from the aircraft... Austin really need to work on those extended terrain textures to make daytime high altitude flying aesthetically pleasing. Joseph Chamberlain FAA ADX

I use this: http://secure.simmarket.com/taburet-xporbit-for-x-plane-10.phtml A complete XPlane 10 scenery coverage for the whole World. This package is designed to Overcome Xplane 10 Visibility distance Limitations when fly at altitude. It completely rebuild the Higher Xplane 10 Scenery Lod - to achieve its goal. It is designed from real world data - what you see it is the real thing - shorelines - rivers - lakes - etc etc. After installation of this package you will be able to see scenery till eye can see. It is compatible with any addons available freeware or payware. Coverage : the whole World. We DO NOT Reccomend this package to those who like to fly over 300.000 ft altitude- as the textures resolution has been raised considerably compare to default stock scenery - but very much ideal for any kind of aircrafts flights. 64 Bit Xplane 10 is an advantage but not essential.
May 16, 201313 yr I bought that as well but I'm still not happy with it... :( I wish there was an option like in FSX where you could specific the level of detail radius... with 64bit, large gfx cards and a lot of RAM it shouldn't be an issue drawing sharp textures 40-60nm in front of the aircraft. I read reviews that it works on some systems with great results and on others with bad results....I guess it all depends on the hardware and settings.
