AFCAD2 Problem with Fly Tampa"s KSAN (San Diego)

Featured Replies

This is a puzzler. AFCADS are suppose to take priority over stock airports. The AFCAD that came with Fly Tampa's KSAN as well as the one I downloaded are both being over ruled by the stock airport BGL.It has a higher layer number than the modified AFCADS. Whats going on here? All the other AFCADS are working just fine as far as I know. The modifieds are layer 10 and 38. The stock is layer 77... The puzzler is that I am showing two modifieds when I only have one installed. That other modified..layer 10 is actually the stock again.but it's lower and shouldnt matter. All of this is installed properly. The FT KSAN scenery is well above the Addon scenery and the Addon scenery is well above the NAMW AP916200 scenery. What the heck can I do to over ride this....Im not sure if this the proper forum and if not can some one direct me to it.Thanks Jim

I have not heard of anyone else having this problem, try to take the .bgl file and move it to a seperate folder and make it the number 1 priority. That should do it, but I'm not sure as to why this is happening. Also, make sure that you only have one AFCAD installed for the airport. You said that you downloaded one and the one that came with the airport... be sure that there is only one. If you are showing two modifieds installed, then you should have two AFCADs installed unless you have not run FS since you removed an AFCAD. Try to do a search for AF2 and SAN in your /addon scenery folder. If you run into two AFCAD files, delete the other file.http://www.darkstarorder.com/SigFinal.jpgKen Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs

Thanks for opening my eyes a little!I found the same file from the NAMW folder (AP916200) in my California scenery folder under Addon scenery.. Thats above the AFCADS in the addon scenery/scenery folder and "WA LA" there was my problem. How that got there,,, Heaven only knows unless it came with an addon by mistake... Im gonna search my CA zips and see. Thanks again... Problem solvedJim

There is a great utility called Scanafd here in the library which identifies duplicate afcad files. It comes in very handy.
