Is it possible to transfer and use the 747 Flight Plan collection into the 737NXX?

Featured Replies

I made frequent use of "The Queen's" Flight Plan collection and I would throughly enjoy using them in my 737 or, hopefully, in the new 777.

Is that possible?

Yes they use the same format, and directory, just enter it in the CoRoute field. in the Route page of the FMC

That's really interesting. Thanks.

I lost The Queen after a Hard disk failure but knowing what you've just told me I'll install it  again.

When it's installed would I use it as the Company Route when using the FMC in the 737NXG?

If i select it in the 747 folder will it automatically appear when I quote it's identity into  the 737?

Both the 737NGX, 747, MD-11 and I'm sure the J41, use the same folder for flightplans. PMDG\FlightPlans in the root FSX folder. It's not aircraft specific. So yes, you would just enter it in the CoRoute field with either aircraft.

Thanks

It is not quite as simple as that. Yes they all use the same directories and so on, but the format has moved on a bit. Flight plans for older releases will work perfectly well in newer ones, but... if you use some of the newer features and save your plans, they might not work in the older releases any more.

Never had any problems with my flightplans, I use FSbuild to make mine!!

As I said, if you save a plan using a newer release, you might have problems using that plan in an older release. If you are only using FSBuild, or any other external tool, then this wont apply to you.
