Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm looking for a new system. PCSpecialist.co.uk have an overclocked system available.

  • Intel Core i5-2500k@4.6GHz
  • ASUS® P8Z77-V
  • 8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X 1600
  • 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 660
  • 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK

Would this be suitable to run FSX quite stably? There is also the option to add in a i7-3770K@4.5GHz

Cheers

Len

Looks good but I just posted in the video card forum that after my 570 died I bought a 660 and I swear the performance is worse...

That system should do very well.

Going for the i7 will future proof you a little better and perform better at same clock rate, I would get the i7.

I would get some faster memory with i7 and get an SSD for OS.
