Trim settings for T/O

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

Is there a way to tell on how to trim the aircraft for take off?
I see the MAC etc. settings in the load editor, but I do not know on how to set the trim properly.
The white t/o range on the pedestal leaves some room for a more nose-/ or tailheavy trimsetting for takeoff.

Further: Any chance to ge the hands on a real world Dash8-Q400 AOM? I would love to read from the real manuals:)

Thank you all.

Bye

Jan

If the trim is in the white band shown then you are within the safe envelope indicated in the weights and balance page.

As far as I understand it, it's next to impossible to get Bombardier AOM's unless you work with the aircraft for a living.

Cheers, Andy.

Take a quick look at the loadgraph. If you are tail heavy, give it a little less backtrim. If you are noseheavy, give it a little more. That is all there is.
