Looks great indeed, nice departure(sic) from my usual Alaska scenery, heh.

Since I can't afford much lately being jobless, wonder which one is the best bang for the buck?

WIll be definitely getting the PNG one - have heard good things about it.

Just wondering one thing - the file sizes seem pretty small compared to say Orbx.  PNG is a pretty large area. Is the smaller file size an indicator of say the quality of textures, airports etc relative to Orbx?

Wondering cause a similar sized area in Orbx would be atleast 1-2 GB while this package is 137 MB.  Or am I getting something wrong?

From my experience with a couple of PIS addons just make sure you can fly without shadows on since all the custom vegetation does not have shadows disabled (when they were designed) and you end up with lots of blocky shadows everywhere due to the way FS displays transparencies.

Looking at the pictures, my guess is the addon mainly consists of lots of new objects and their placement, with minimal surrounding landscape retexture work. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: Nice comparison of Marshall Islands addon here.

Yes, it doesnt have photoreal ground textures like Orbx use at their airports. This accounts for some of the filesize. PNG Bush Flying is a collection of PNG airports upgraded with custom objects and placements of these objects. Some of these objects are repeated at numerous airports (where appropriate) so the file size is kept lower. It's a good package at a good price at the moment. Probably the pick of the bunch in terms of value for money yes.
