You received a Buffer_Exception_Overrun.  Very difficult to diagnose but most are caused by too high settings in fsx.cfg and/or display driver.  The exception code indicates Memory_Access Violation that is common with most FSX crashes.  If you have REX, FEX, AS2012, etc., programs, the setting in these products could be too high too (everyone wants a lot of eye-candy).  If you want you can download and run AppCrashView - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/app_crash_view.html and copy and paste the results here.  You can also upload your FSX.cfg and I can take a look at that too.  AVSIM will not allow you to upload a .cfg file so you will have to copy your fsx.cfg and rename it to something like dan2792_FSX.txt.

Best regards,

Jim

You have several problems with your fsx.cfg.  The biggest being you have TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=256 and your color depth for your display is set at 16 instead of 32.  I see nothing new in your crash report other than you have the latest Microsoft Visual C++2005 installed.  Fix the items I recommended in your fsx.cfg (attached) and see if this fixes the problem.  If you need further assistance you should provide us with system specs (such as what is stated in My PC for me on the sidebar).

Best regards,

Jim

Uninstall SP2 (double click on the SP2.exe and select Remove).  Once removed, start up FSX and Go Fly.  Shutdown FSX.  Reinstall SP2.  When you reinstall SP2, make sure no anti-virus program is working in the background and make sure UAC is disabled (to disable, go to the Start button and type UAC in the Search box.  Then look up in the menu and click on Change User Access Account settings.  Pull the slider all the way down to disable.  Restart computer).

Best regards,

Jim

Click on the Start button.  Type Event in the search bar.  Look up in the Menu and click on Event Viewer.  Once open, look for Custom Views\Administrative Events as this shows all of the errors/warnings.

The ntdll.dll was the faulting module.  Indicates a setting, a tweak in your fsx.cfg is way too high for your system to handle it.  It could also be a high display driver setting(s).  There are many more possibilities (i.e., bad oc, overheating, bad memory settings, MSV2005, 2008, 2010 are not up-to-date, Versions 1.1 thru 4.5, Microsoft.net are not installed or up-to-date) but think the settings are the issue as you have been successful in running FSX in the past.

You should start a new topic when you have a crash and not add it to someone else's crash reports.  It gets very complicated.  You should also download and run AppCrashView as I indicated in Post#2 here.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jim

Just start a new topic if you still need assistance.  There are a lot of fsx crashes with NTDLL.dll as the faulting module.  I don't think your display drivers could have caused an ntdll.dll CTD.

Jim
