Do you have a huge amount of junk installed in FSX?

That's a loaded question:  without substantial and copious add-ons, FSX itself *IS* junk.

FSX is nothing but a platform for add-ons.

Luke, my new computer is the biggest one you can buy for gaming. Problem with FSX is that I do long flight and always go out of memory of game boot out after a while. Frustrating. I check online and a lot have same problem. I couldn't find solution got frustrated.

Have you tried tweaking, at least placing HIGHMEMFIX=1 fix to fsx.cfg?

With properly tweaked fsx.cfg (really I just ran it through Bojote's automatic tweaker) I've completed many +12 hour flights with PMDG 747 and other complex stuff + high quality addon sceneries without ever running out of memory.

I don't mean to be so rude, but do you ever read other posts on the same sort of topic?

PMDG have continually stated that they are no longer developing for FS9...

-_-

If you have a ton of stuff that you rarely or never use it can bog things down.

The FS9 version will be released in conjunction with the 2D panel................

Oh I dunno:  much may depend upon how the bogus lawsuit goes.

Saw a video about that, they found a loophole out of it and are trying to exploit it. Either way the company ussuing the suit is a type of firm that makes money on suing for patents but only demand enough so that they can get steady income but not cripple the victim: like parasites

That and the fact that 2D panels seem to be a thing of the past for PMDG are the reason I now longer purchase their products even though I would very much like to.

Yea, it's gonna be released in a bundle with the LDS757 and a working weather radar. Just stay tuned...

"I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."

Wait, does that apply only for the PDMG forum or the whole AVSIM?

It applies to the PMDG forum.

which is a subsidiary of the Avsim forums - happy to comply with Avsim rules :)

Time for the forum police to have a rest.
