Airport charts arrival/departure

Recommended Posts

Many Countries publish charts online. Some of these require a free registration, others can be looked up without any login or password at all. Other countries do not have government published (ie free) charts, and instead have a private company publish them, often copyright, sometimes not for free.

Here's some I use frequently

Australia

UK Charts (England Scotland Wales Northern Ireland)

http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php.html

France

Netherlands Charts:

New Zealand

USA Charts - almost anywhere, flightaware has most of them.

Canada - Discussed above.

Sometimes I use VATSIM resources for charts. This is sometimes neccicary if copyright-free charts are not available by a specific aviation authority. Some Vatsim VACC's go to the trouble of creating their own. Here is an example from Germany.

Forgot to mention. http://skyvector.com/

Basically a worldwide Enroute Chart (ERC) with all the airways worldwide. No SID/STAR segments, and as far as I can see, nothing like Sectors, ATC frequencies or minimum sector altitudes included, but with all the airways, waypoints and navaids, it certainly can come in useful.

Ha ha. Of course they are if you get pirated copy.

We use Jepp in Flight Ops every freaking day for real flights. I have never seen that any of chart was not up to date.

Not sure how Dauntless have managed to legally sell these charts. Unlike the US Government, most governments around the world retain copyrights, including copyrights to AIP. These charts are pulled straight out of there.

Save your money: all of these charts can be found in national AIPs and you can find links to each country's AIP at http://www.eurocontrol.int/articles/ais-online When you get to the AIP you need, if it isn't immediately obvious where to find the terminal charts, look under "Aerodrome 2.2". What's better about these is that normally they are up-to-date and you can use these with your navigation database from Navigraph or Aerosoft.
