Anyone know if Lago is still in business?

Recommended Posts

Most probably is just that their server is down, but I paid for an F-16 there on Saturday, and low and behold, their site is inaccessible from my machine to this very minute Monday evening. Check and see if you can get to www.lagosim.com.Noel

Noel - The server is still alive but it looks like it's a really sick puppy. I was just able to access it (12 Oct at 0255Z) but it took a looong time. The page didn't even start to load for three minutes and then it took another three minutes to complete. Six minutes to load a webpage seems, to me, to be the same as being out-of-business. All I can suggest is just keep trying.Doug

Geez, is this an ongoing situation? If so, that's a lot of nerve to sell software and then do this. Hopefully it is not the norm. I guess I can always complain to my credit card company and avoid the payment that way.Noel

They are certainly still going - I purchased the "Twotter" off them last week and being impatient e-mailed after 12 hours to get the serial key. Both the key and a response came within the advertised 24 hours.Pretty happy with the purchase as well, although having flown LAGO / PAD & Eric Dantes Twotter's I don't think there is a "perfect" model yet - wish FSD / RealAir would do it real justice. That said LAGO win at the moment for VC........ and it flies nicely although not a RW pilot so I can't comment on realism !!G

Thanks all, I was able to obtain the order and all is well. I like the F-16, but I would really rather have something more recent, more refined from a graphics point of view. It's too early for me to report on the depth of control you can have with the F-16. Graphically, something on a par with a PMDG product. Flies nice though.Noel
