Haven't seen any discussion of France VFR Regional compatibility??

My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB  DDR4  RAMNoctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel     Sims: MSFS2020      Preferred Aircraft  Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049

Haven't seen any discussion of France VFR Regional compatibility??

It would be upto the devs of France VFR to contact Orbx about this just as 29 Palms, ES and Aerosoft did and then the problem could be solved. If you have read the link I posted above you'll find some answers to that

here is something intresting regarding this:

"At the same time we are also adding in other vendors' autogendescription.spb entries to our version and so far we include EarthSimulations, Aerosoft VFR Germany and 29Palms. We are more than happy to add any other vendor's custom entries to our file so we don't stomp on other vendors' autogen. Again, all developers are suffering the legacy of bad and shortsighted design in FSX - yes, those files are extensible if you read the SDK, but where is a central SQL-based database any vendor can add new entries to? The FS development community is very fragmented and competitive and only high levels of cooperation would ever see unified files like that. We hope that moving forward Lockheed Martin can implement friendlier solutions for these problems in P3D 2.x and beyond, and I've given them white papers on what is needed in that regard, as I did the MS-Flight team."

I would suggest to go and read the whole post from JV as there is alot of intresting info on FTX Global, FSX and the future...

I also would suggest that you as a customer contacts the devs of France VFR about this and ask them to contact Orbx and then maybe we can get this solved? B)

I reccomend everyone to go to Orbx and read the latest news about FTX Global there you all will find answers to most of your concerns about FTX Global and clear up alot of questions about compitability and stuff http://www.orbxsyste...m/forum/portal/

Everyone even remotely interested in FTX Global SHOULD READ THIS!  It's yet another excellent explanation of what the product is and isn't going to be at intro.  Honest, straightforward and thorough, all things I think Mr. Venema has tried really hard to be with this project.

It was also good to hear that other projects are still moving forward, addressing one of my concerns.  In my case, I'm very much looking forward to the Bonner's Ferry airport (and that pesky NorCal region).

Since I do all my flying in Europe and I always thought of FTX (or is it Orbx or Fullterrain?) as a NZ scenery only developer I never really bothered to look into their products any closer and to learn about their company and philosophy behind their development but after reading the information linked above they just won themselves a new customer.

If you ask me this is the type of company that will play a big part in making sure all of us who love flight simming will have a bright future ahead of us!

Can't wait until the day when I can buy a complete FTX Sweden region ;)

What's getting me even more excited then FTX Global itself, is all the talk about upcoming Norwegian scenery...! ^_^  (BTW I already have all that GREAT Norwegian freeware.. obviously...  B) ) I've been dying for more good Norway scenery since I started flying on the PC.  ^_^

In the end I do not think FTX World is worth the money. I do beileve it is more hype than quality but please misunderstand me correctly when I say this as FTX do have some beutiful airports and designs.

but in the end there is the fact that in every picture we see from this "wonderful package" is a maxed out FSX or P3D. That means that YOU in most cases will not get the same results on your computer.

So most of you will try every tweak imagine and in plain frustration overclock your pc just to bearly maintain 25FPS in order to somewhat run this landclass togeather with i.e PMDG.

That makes this product a pure eyecandy product as pr hardware definition anno 2013

So in my mind until the hardware levels out the product, I would continue to use Ground Environment for both FSX and P3D, low price, fps friendly.

Its a texture replacement....

I already max out FSX. I don't anticipate a texture swap out to affect any of my settings or the performance of FSX.

Sit back, relax and enjoy quality screenshots of this great product from other users when it comes out, while flying in GEX. ;)

You will not be able to do max everything when flying PMDG no matter what scenery... On the other hand when flying GA It's no problem to max almost everything. I see the advantage when flying the PMDG too in this scenery as the textures will look better regardless of what autogen settings you use(especially mountains)... Im using "normal" autogen when flying PMDG, very Dense when flying Majestic dash 8 and extremely dense when flying GA...

But offcourse those who prefer photoscenery this ain't gonna match that...but personally i prefer to have atleast some autogen instead of just flat photoscenery..

Also it won't have that much more impact than GEX, that's atleast my expireince with the FTX regions as I can run the same settings as I would With GEX and UTX combo.

But offcourse suit yourself, If you wanna live in the "dark ages" and don't take advantage of new technoligy then fine B)

(BTW I already have all that GREAT Norwegian freeware.. obviously... )

Then you'll be in for  a threat when FTX Global comes out. As far as i can see it's only good textures missing and Norway would look great.

My hometown is depicted with 95% accurecy with the freeware for Norway so I'm really exited. B)

It's strange, someone complains that FTX Global don't have enough autogen others complain that it's to much....

Seem like it's an hobby in itself to come up with new ways to dislike this product..

And if they can't come up with anything then it's the price that bothers them..

You are talking about XP-10 taking advantage of new technologies right?.....if not what new technology are you referring to in FSX?

The tecnoligy that makes Orbx textures stand out compared to GEX, go and read the link I posted some posts above and there it will be explained. The tech that forced them to come up with the switcher solution to avoid FSX limitations, and now they even working hard to overcome it by fiddling with the lclookup.bgl.

They even promised to work out howto get rid of the autogen switch when time passes.

This takes time and isn't as easy as everyone thinks and when they solve all these issues it's a step up In overcoming FSX limitations and that is what I call better technoligy..

But to all ya' haters out there, It's fun to see what you can come up with in new ways to drag this product down..

That's the best you can come up with? So if somebody has a opinion contrary to yours they are haters.....seriously, and what you are talking about here is not new technology.

Look at the big picture here, if a company (X) making sceneries is not on board with what Orbx is doing you MAY have a compatibility problems if you have sceneries from that company (x), another word, you will be limited to Orbx and who ever is onboard with them to "kinda" make sure all your sceneries add on work in harmony with theirs,...I may be wrong, can you correct me on that.

That's the best you can come up with? So if somebody has a opinion contrary to yours they are haters.....

Nope, and I wasn't reffering to you....sorry if you got offended..I'll probably gonna get flamed to Oblivion with that sentence
