When can we buy a haswell system ?

When I searched 'haswell release date' I found June 3 mentioned. That's next week. But I see no mention of it in PC retail shops.

Also from what I understand a new socket is to be used meaning new motherboards. I see no such mobos being mentioned .

In addition to that I wonder if new CPU cooler needs to be designed ? So how early can we buy a haswell based computer ?

In regards to Coolers, here are some ideas - http://www.pcper.com/category/tags/heatsink.  Looks like some will offer upgrade kits so you can use your current (old one) with the new CPU.

 

If you order off the Internet you probably can have all of the components to build within a week or two.  The stuff is there.  It just cannot be sold yet until the official release date.  I'm thinking about hold off a week or two after release just to see the carnage or if there are any problems.  Looking at the GTX 780, I might put that in the new system too as I would like to run maybe 3 LCD monitors.  That can wait though.

Well, you are located in Sweden and I can see where you might have to wait a bit longer.  My reseller/distributor is Amazon.com and they already have a system for sale on their site with the i7 4770K installed - http://www.amazon.com/Avatar-I7-4766ICE-i7-4770K-Unlocked-Cooling/dp/B00D3SGLP4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370021162&sr=8-1&keywords=4770k+intel.  Doubt it will be released before the Haswell release though.

Newegg wants my attention on Sunday. I'm not thinking that they are going to mention Intel released a new Atom processor!

That reseller is of no interest of me since they clearly state in their FAQ that they don't ship outside the USA.
