Fun with Tim Conrad's L-29 Delfin

Recommended Posts

This model has been out for awhile but somehow I missed it.   I discovered it this week and have had quite a bit of fun repainting this one.   I havent done any metal work in awhile.

Very nice - this is a plane I always come back to! As far as I know there are no metallic skins available at all for this model so you are definitely doing good! Any chance of getting this paint http://www.warbirdregistry.org/jetregistry/l29registry/l29-n443kt.html out of you?

Sascha

Sascha,  the bird I am painting is essentially the same scheme with black drop tanks and a different air frame number.

It's a great model, but like many early FS creations, the blocky VC canopy frame literally makes my teeth itch!

Strictly a 2D panel flyer then, even allowing for the ovoid WS gauges.

Lovely metallic paint you have there, will it be available for the FS9 users?

Yes.  I will upload both the USSR and GDR paints once completed.   ;-)

I personally dont require every aircraft I play with to be a PMDG Queen of the Skies.   I love these simpler fun planes to fly around with.    My time is more limited these days and I find that 30 minutes with one of these is more appropriate for me than 4-5 hours in a heavy airliner.   I do both but like my lightweight airplanes as well.

 I will upload both
Great stuff.

I also like these simple but quality planes - they go into Recorder Module and provide company in the sky!
