Wouldn't you need to fly the real thing to judge if the flight model is realistic?

 

Obviously few simmers have sat in the Captain's seat and man-handled the stick of an A380 to the threshold. Does that mean we can't give an opinion of what we would think the real aircraft would feel like?  I think it is narrow minded to say that we can't have an opinion or be impressed with the flight dynamics, because we are not real pilots.

It can go without saying that the opinion is from the perspective of a simmer, unless it is said otherwise, but it is still a good opinion.

Well, I've been using UFMC for entering flight plans. When done with that I just use the "built in" FMC. I would really like Peter to make the included FMC better because this is a real killer of the feeling of immersion.

 

UFMC is payware, but I believe that x-fmc also works well, and that one is freeware (?).

Correct, x-fmc is freeware. Does SIDs, STARs, the whole caboodle... :lol:
