Realair's wolf in sheep's clothing

I refer of course to the Royal Duke. here's a snap of the real one:

Now I know I'm not dealing with dimbos here and y'all saw straight away it's a piston B60 Duke. Well since this picture was taken it has been modified by Royal with two nice shiney new turbines!** Which I now proudly present:

** For those that believe everything they read on teh interwebs....I lied!

It's on AVSIM now.

Yup, got that :) Great "livery", man, that is one delicious plane! Wouldn't mind owning one at all...

A fabulous job on this one Ron. The colours, lines and those 'sporting-to-paint' engine nacelles are beautifully done!

Thank you

Wayne

Eeeek! For those of you who haven't spotted my deliberate mistake here it is:

In the aircraft.cfg the line ui_variation=United Express should read ui_variation=N14VP

Sorry about that. I was going to do a United Express livery then I changed my mind.

Love the fresh new shiny look of the real picture!

Why anyone would want an old scuffed up hand-me-down look is beyond me!

Opps, that was for a different thread!

Nice paint Ron!

wish I had that sort of talent

wish I had that sort of talent airplane!

Kind regards, B)

...funny, I'm the same way...that's the one thing that's kept me away from enjoying the Milviz planes. Just can't get myself to buy something that looks all scuffed and worn, even if it's not real

Very good paint!!

Chapeaux!!

On the other hand I`ll go for realism.

Personally, but as the word says "thats personal", I would never make a livery for a turbo when the Original is a twin-boxer.( or vice-versa )

Why??

All whats not real= unrealistic.

OK, make no fuzz about an antenna , a wheel-fairing.........

Prop-jet or boxer, thats a bridge to far for me.

BUT as I said , its a fine paint.

Leen, I totally agree....usually. My excuse this time was there are so few Turbine Dukes to paint, so I took a liberty, just this once.

OK............. I see your point.

Liberties like this, taken by a serious painter/texture-artist they simply have a right to exist c.q. being taken.

OK ... realness 25 points.............quality 100.

Keep up the good works Ron .
