Head Momentum Help

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I did a search for disabling head momentum.  I followed the instructions but can't get it to work.  So far I've changed all values in the cfg under [Dynamic Head Movement] to 0, and in the cameras cfg, I have Head Momentum set to No.

When I taxi and make a sharp turn, the pilot's head position would still shift and remain there until I do my next turn.

Anybody know how to stop this?

Thanks

There is actually a bug in FSX where the eyepoint moves as the aircraft rotates, and the problem becomes more noticeable as the aircraft size goes up. That's because the bug is related to the eyepoint coordinate calculations are done based on distance from the aircraft centerpoint. Therefore the farther the "eyes" are from the centerpoint, the more noticeable the slight shifts in position are.

No known fix/workaround yet.

Ouch!  Major bummer for me since I fly heavies :( .

Not really a problem for me anymore. I fly heavies most times, and if you stick to the northern routes, like Stockholm Sweden to Vancouver Canada etc. You wont be affected as much as you are (if ever) when you get closer to the equator area. In-fact; the momentum bug never occurs when I fly northern routes. I can perform sharp turns, and my viewpoint will be in the same place as it was before I initiated the turn!
