call outs

Hi ya all,Some panels have got level call outs like 1000,500,50,40,30,20,10 feet. But how can I get this in other panels/planes????Regards,L.Jim

Hi i use FsHotseat pro editionhas all the callouts plus loads of other cool bits.CP will fly the aircraft for you.(while you make the tea)he also calls all the appropriate checklists and will push the switches if you want ..stewardess chat..passenger boarding sounds.highly recommended. best wishes steve

I believe this is sometimes done thru the use of a gauge file in your gauges folder and an associated gauge number assignment line in the panel config file. Find one of your A/C that has this feature and search the panel config file looking for possible gauges (sometimes have gpws as part of their name). You can temporarily comment out that line in the config file with // preceding the line number. Then test fly, and if you no longer have the call outs then that is your file. Simply add a new line number and reference like you found to your desired panel config file and be sure the gauge is in your gauges folder (or that A/c's panel folder) and you should be good to go.Bill G, KSAT

Many use the a330 callout gauge. Thats the one thats in the panel I've been using lately. The panel.cfg file will show: IE:gauge??=fpda_a330_callout, 0,0,0If he has panels that have callouts, it's probably that file, or a renamed version. Just add an entry of the version he uses to any panel to add the sounds. Most have "callout" in the file name. The gauge number, ?? must be in order of the last entry. IE: if the last gauge file entry was "gauge55", make the callout entry gauge56. BTW...I'm not sure as it's been awhile, but I think you need to add: [OLDMODULES]FSsound.dll=1 to your fs9.cfg for this callout file to work. But if his is already working in other panels, there is no need to bother...Naturally, the gauge file needs to be in the gauge folder, but if his is working, it's already there. He just needs to use the same file name for any other panels. MK
