Recommended Posts

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Here is year 1975 flight from KMIA Miami International airport Miami International Airport eight miles northwest of downtown Miami to MBPV Providenciales International Airport located on the island of Providenciales of the Turks and Caicos Islands flown by Air Florida 727-200 shown in faded away year 1975 Kodak photographs

Air Florida was famous for hottest stewardesses.

Remember this Kodak camera that was used for this flight??

Taxiing on taxiway P to short of runway 12

Entering into runway 12 for take off via SKIPS1 departure

af2.jpg

Airborne on climb to FL330 past Miami cruise ship port making little left turn to execute SKIPS1 departure heading to SKIPS on way to ZQA

af3.jpg

On climb to FL330 to SKIPS

af4.jpg

Intercepting SKIPS and heading to ZQA while still on climb to FL330

af5.jpg

Making evasive turn to avoid flock of birds with background view of North Cat Cay which is privately owned island run as a private members club by the Cat Cay Yacht Club where you can go for fishing to catch Mahi Mahi, Blue and White Marlin, Whaoo, Snapper and Grouper

Now cruising at FL330 heading to ZQA

af9.jpg

af10.jpg

Intercepting ZQA above city of Nassau, Bahamas and its some unknown local airport that I cannot find in present day maps

af11.jpg

Cruising past city of Nassau, its cruise ship port, and Paradise Island

af12.jpg

Finishing interception of ZQA by leaving Nassau and its island to start route A555 all the way to Turks and Cacios

af13.jpg

Cruising along A555 above deep sea blue waters of Caribbean

af14.jpg

Rich turquoise water color indicates that the plane is getting close to Turks and Cacios which signals time for descent from FL330 to 10,000 ft

af15.jpg

Now at 10,000 ft on way to MBPV runway 10

af16.jpg

Nice clouds

Outstanding nostalgia ... I've flown into Miami during that time period ... faked a severe fear of flying to get extra attention from the stews (who were indeed, hot)

Excellent post as always Aharon!

I've seen those girls lately.

Unfortunately they are all 50-60 years old now and fly for AA and Delta and usually in a surly mood.. <_<

Great shots and story Aharon!

My have times have changed in the commercial aviation world.  No longer called "Stews"...and you're in big trouble if you call them that...they take GREAT offense to it!

My last 727 flight was a United (tri-color) from KATL to KDEN.

Oh, I love the paintjob too.

Though this has nothing to do with Air Florida but it was an airline from the same area and era. Macky International was who my mom was a flight attendant for back in the 70s.

Nice shots by the way.
