Engines for the 737NGX/747-400x/8i/8F and upcoming 777

Recommended Posts

Was curious if we will get all available engine types to choose from? Whether its the GEnx, GE-110/115, Rolls Royce Trenn 800/900/1000, Pratt & Whitney?

Would be awesome since I love the distinct sound of each engine and was wondering if PMDG also takes engine sound seriously into consideration by offering us different combinations that we can choose?

I'm not sure about the B748 (I didn't think that there was a re-release of the B744, but I could be wrong), but the B777 that is slated to be released first (the one we are all waiting for) is the B77W/B77F/B77L, all of which use exclusively and only the GE engine.... I believe the B772, B772ER, B773 (non-ER) are all coming later, which do use GE/RR/PW engines, depending on airline options....

Thanks, Bruce.

In real life:

The 737NG is only offered with the CFM56-7B

The 747-8 is only offered with the GEnx-2B67

The 777-200LR, 777F, and 777-300ER (the ones we're doing) are only offered with the GE90-110B/115B

The 747-400 has the three different engine types and I assume we'll do those.

The 777-200LR, 777F, and 777-300ER (the ones we're doing)

Please confirm - that does NOT mean you are NOT doing the 200ER AT ALL, right?

I also really hope that does not mean the 200ER is not being done.
