FSX tweaking help

Recommended Posts

I am using a MacBook Pro for FSX using BootCamp with Windows 8 and I have some questions about tweaking. I already read lots of pages about the configuration and tried bojote's modification but I still have questions because my setup is different from most of the people. John Venema has the similar setup like mine being only difference is a retina display so the CPU and GPU are same. He wrote in his signature that he only uses BP=0 and Highmemfix. I was using affinitymask=14 before but I can't disable HT because it doesn't have any BIOS, it uses EFI. I tried 255 and it seemed like working better. Also CPU is set to work as 3.3 Ghz cause it would be risky to overclock a laptop. My bufferpools settings are like this and I wonder if I should use the same settings as 0? It would be great if you can explain me considering the hardware I am using. Thanks

[bufferPools]
RejectThreshold=131072
UsePools=1
PoolSize=5000000

Another question is that my FSX is in SSD while photoscenery is installed into HDD. When loading an airport with a photoscenery surrounding, it takes around 2 minute to load but when I choose another airport with no photoscenery surround, it still takes the same time for loading. It was around 30 seconds before so I don't get the problem.
