Questions regarding european/german noise abatement procedures

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

hopefully I'm right here.

My question is what noise abatement procedure is used mostly in european especially german airports. Does anyone know which one is flown in EDDT, EDDF, EDDM, LMML?

I know these 2:

- V2 or V2+10 until 1000ft/1500ft

- thrust to climb or lower

- V2+10 until 3000ft

- acceleration and raising flaps

- V2 or V2+10 until 1500ft

- thrust to climb or lower

- acceleration and raising flaps

Are there more to be flown? If this is aircraft relevant, how does 737 (classic), A320 and md11 fly those?

All Courtesy of the boeing website......

handy pages.

LMML -

Take-off to 1500 ft AAL Set take-off power and take-off flaps
Climb at V2 +10KT to 20KT or as limited by body angle

At 1500 ft AAL Reduce thrust to not less than climb power/thrust

1500 - 3000 ft AAL Climb at V2 + 10KT-20KT At 3000 ft AAL

Accelerate smoothly to en-route climb speed with flap retraction on schedule

EDDF -

EDDT -

Takeoff to 1500 feet AGL
Takeoff power
Takeoff flaps

Climb at V2 + 10 KT (or as limited by body angle).

At 1500 feet AGL Reduce power to not less than climb power.

1500-3000 feet AGL Climb at V2 + 10 KT

At 3000 feet AGL Normal speed and flap retraction schedules to enroute climb

EDDM -

Takeoff to 1500 feet AGL
Takeoff power
Takeoff flaps

Climb at V2 + 10 KT (or as limited by body angle).

At 1500 feet AGL Reduce power to not less than climb power.
Acceleration during climb and retraction of flaps
Normal transition to en-route climb

Sara, I think your info is out of date. Standard NADP1 thrust reduction was reduced to 800agl a while back and is now implemented by many operators around Europe. Germany allows operators to use a minimum thrust reduction of 1000 agl.

To the OP, it is mainly down to what airlines SOP you want to follow if you are trying to simulate real world procedures. Some operators want you accelerating as soon as possible since it saves fuel.

To confirm,  I believe that NADP1 is:

Take-off thrust at V2+ 10 to 20 kt to 800 ft

Initiate power reduction at or above 800 ft. Climb at V2 + 10 to 20 kt. Maintain reduced power.  Maintain the take-off configuration to 3000 ft.

Maintain positive rate of climb above 3000 ft. Accelerate smoothly to en-route climb speed. Retract flaps/slats on schedule
