thanks Henry, I wonder, what are the difference between this one and sweetFX, why sould I use that over that? you know what I mean? they both working great, what should i pick?? does anybody else tried this? thanks!

I think because you can turn the REX program on and off inflight if you don't like it or want more light, its incredibly simple but effective, it doesn't mess around with any of your files at all or effect frames.

I must admit to getting some CTD now.....

You can turn SweetFX off and on too btw by using the pause key iirc. Neither addons mess with the files since they're the same. The only difference is that SweetFX is miles more stable than ENB.

Sorry if this is off topic,  have tried Sweet FX and I see No difference whatsoever if i press the pause key, on or off.  Does a setting in nvidia inspector have to be altered in order to allow sweet fx to work ?

I gather ou can remap a key other than the Pause key (some keyboard incompatability) but can anyone tell me what value i need to put in,  say to use the "." key as i dont use this now as brake on my yoke.

Please correct me if I am wrong but you cannot run it on a 64bit FSX platform?

FSX is a 32bit application, so it doesn't matter if you're running a 64bit OS. (assuming that's what you meant)

I use ENB but I am thinking about trying SFX based off of the replies. Is it free or does it cost?

it is free.

I think the solution is..................adjusting your monitor correctly!

Not very, I read an article a couple of months ago (unrelated to FSX) which stated 96% of monitors are not set up correctly! And I do believe he was right.

He,he, guess what? It was I that "embarrassed" himself. Although at 62 and a half, I have to say I don't get embarrassed any more! Especially over something so trivial! I am on the other hand quite excited about having a banner at the top of the page in my honour. I have to say though had nothing been said no-one would be any the wiser. So I have to ask is it Avsim policy to embarrass there readers or is it just me ( in which case it would be discrimination).
