Can FS9 and FSX run on the same hard drive?

Recommended Posts

In a few months I will be getting a new computer (in August or September) and while I do not want to abandon FS9 there are some planes, helicopters, and scenery that are FSX only that I would like to use. So can FS9 and FSX be on the same hard drive and work right?

PS: Sorry if this question is in the wrong forum. I did not know where to ask it.

Yes, as far as I know.  I have both FS9 and FSX on the same hard drive.  Good luck on your new PC :good: .

Yes,they can work, but I would create two folders C:\FSX and C:\FS9 (or similiar).

This applies if you are using an OS higher than XP

Hi,

Just in case you need another confirmation, I have FS9 and FSX on the same hard drive and it works like a charm.

Happy flying,

Sure can. I have FSX, FS9, and XPX all on the same HD which I might add, is also the system drive. All work very well.

Thanks guys! When I do get the new computer I will make sure it has a real big hard drive so I can save both FS9 and FSX stuff.
