Any way to enlarge ILS area of reception?

I find that I always have to be right on (near) the localizer and near the outer marker before I can pick up on the ILS

Its in an editable list called earth_nav  in Resources/default data and all ILS are at 18 mn

 

That is only when you are straight in approach is the 18 fully available

If you are beside it trying to go downind it is not always there.

Design that way in the real world.
