June 20, 201312 yr I presume they would stop all movements and then evacuate. Most stuff would be with Heathrow Director at Swanwick anyway, so it's just a case of stopping ground traffic from moving, closing the runways and then evacuating. I presume the old tower is still useable a backup, should the new tower be unusable for an extended period. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

Shame they couldn't have taken her down gently and rebuild it as a museum piece.
June 20, 201312 yr Just finished watching the last episode. Luckily no thunderstorm but still a bit disappointed of the thrill that would have been presented. Loved the last episode and my favourite part was Dan being in the A380 simulator landing the aircraft. Regards, Saulius Baltramonaitis"If it ain't Boeing, it ain't going!"
June 20, 201312 yr One of the best shows I have seen about an airport in a long time! It was great seeing the two aircraft I flew on to San Francisco just one year ago. G-VBIG in which they were filming on yesterday, and G-VFAB which was on the remote stand tonight just under the presenters left arm.
