Modifying the ACAS to display altitude?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

So I was just wondering if anyone knew whether it would be possible to edit the ACAS (Airborne collision avoidance system) to display nearby traffic's altitude in relation to your own altitude? As it stands you have no way of telling how close nearby traffic is to you because you don't know what altitude they're at. Ideally you would see a + or - number next to their symbol on the MFD that describes how many thousands of feet above or below you they are. For example, say you're flying at 8,000ft and you see an aircraft on the map with a -2 next to it. This would mean that they were 2,000 feet below you at 6,000ft. Does anyone know if this is possible? Perhaps Bert you could make a mod for this!? :P

Ha-Ha  :P

No, getting into the MFD map is not my idea of having a good time...

Mostly, this is straight FSX default GPS code, and believe me, it is not easy

to make sense of..

Ah well, that's a shame. Would've been a nice little addition though. Thanks for the reply! :)
