How you guys learn to navigate?

Recommended Posts

Guest DMozzie

Hi all,I finally have my system running smooth but I am frustrated because I don't fully understand how to navigate VFR and IFR. Do you use beacons, vors etc? If so, then where do you create your flightplan from or obtain the most efficient way point information?I don't just want to load up my PMDG 737 and type some information into the FMC. I would much pref to fly short VFR flights in the UK and then aircraft like the CPT SIM E3 using manual IFR.I should be receiving my Audio 90 headset soon so I will be able to practice online very soon.Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

First of all start with an easy aircraft like the Mooney with the IFR panel. Then learn VOR navigation since that is mostly used. Learning center has tons of info on it and of course the training missions :)Now forget about trying to finish the IFR checkride it

Take a look at http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/ I think it's absolutely the best tutorial available. Doug
