Majestic Dash 8 200/300?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

So after flying the Q400 for a few weeks now and finally getting it down pat i started wondering about Majestic's original Dash 8? Does anyone know if they will be redoing that one to update it to current quality standards? Just curious, would anyone else like to have the full Dash 8 collection for there sim?

According to this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/411698-dash-100200-series/ Majestic will redo them, starting with the 300. I haven't read anything official from someone at Majestic however.

Edit: Seems like I overread something:

The plan is to put the 300 back on the drawing board for an overhaul, and then determine whether/which variant of the 100/200 will be done.

You'll have to wait a few years though, like 2015-ish. Majestic still haven't finished the Pro and Training editions of the Q400.

They could use the same panels and VC, though - so that should make it easier to some extent. It could be made in the fashion PMDG made their 747 Dash 8 extensions or the 600/700 package for their NGX.

I don't think that would be very good idea, older Dash 8 models and the Q400 have quite big differences in their cockpits, older models seem to have more traditional style gauges.

Yeah, no, you're right. I forgot about that. I suppose they could salvage some things from their Q400 model, though (wings, tail section maybe).

Thats great to hear, now if Carenado releases a good Beech 1900D I will be all set to wait for the Dash 8 300 series.
