Yes, all that and a great sense of accomplishment flying on PilotEdge.

 

One of the best thing happened to msfs simmers. Really, don't miss try it out. Wonderful region, SoCal & Nevada, a lot of commercial and free scenery for it,  professional ATC at very convenient timing for europeans 15:00 - 6:00z (8am-11pm pacific) 24/7, visual traffic, great web resource on flying and it is developing. I wish I just had more time, never enough of it.

Unfortunately I mostly fly short-haul for a UK based VA so dont have much use for PilotEdge.

Unfortunately I mostly fly short-haul for a UK based VA so dont need to use PilotEdge.

 

It's more about ATC online for you 24/7 than anything else.

 

Largerly short-hauls there too but you may fly from/to any destination not covered by PE ATC on its network and still enjoy ATC 24/7 when in the area.

been looking at prices, I might go for the pay per hour since i could fly from EGLl-KLAX or KSFO once a month.

I fly on Pilot Edge a lot these days and I'll say that it takes one level of stress off of my sim experience.  I know that I have a controller who will understand words, who can respond to changes of plans, who I can request special procedures from and get a response that generally makes sense.  Also, I get a variety of real-world-like instructions.  SIDs and STARs are a natural part of the system...sometimes they leave me on it with the descent profile...sometimes not.  They mix it up in various ways.  When I make mistakes they work with me to make it better next time.  Their training is deep as well and I take all this information and use it, sometimes, when I'm flying outside of their area.  It's made me a more relaxed and better pilot.

Sorry, I meant 7 days of course not 24 hours !!! :lol:

 

But then network is up 24/7, ATC as mentioned above 15:00 - 6:00z.

Yes, but really it gets stressful enough when in the air (professional ATC, sometime fast, conjested etc) to feel the heat of accomplishment at the destination. All the help is always available, but they don't pander to make it easier at all, on the contrary. They mix it up in various ways indeed.

The stress I was referring to is stress created by ATC software.  Software doesn't give you many options...certainly not as many as a real human being.  Also, rather than click-click-click it's key the mic and say what you want and a voice comes back with a reasoned response.  Even with mistakes they help you work it out.
