Flightbeam announces Denver (KDEN)

Recommended Posts

As per AirdailyX and Flightbeam's Facebook page they have announced that by popular vote KDEN will be the next Flightbeam airport. Great news!

Huge centrally located western hub. Good choice. You can get to a lot of places in 1-2 hours from Denver, making it very flight friendly.

Great airport! Love the sky bridge. Its good fun to take a prop over the Rockies into Aspen in marginal weather too.

Last time I've flown into Denver was in 2011. I'll buy this to support them :)

"should have"?

Actually, Salt Lake should have been it!  And out of sheer orneriness (and because I would've actually bought it as well) I would have loved to have seen Reno get a nod as well.  Sure wish someone would do a few more regional airports rather than just mondo-hubs.

Slowing sweeping up ImagineSim's territory (and so far, with improvement).

Well SLC had the most duplicate accounts created... But whatever...

My tongue was planted firmly in my cheek when I replied - guess I need to find a good tongue in cheek emoticon.  "Should have" is pretty subjective as I don't think Flightbeam ever intended the on-line poll to be the determining factor, and that seems even more obvious now given where KDEN finished in the results.  Yet it still seems like a pretty obvious choice, and I expect they have far more solid data supporting that choice than what they got from the poll.

Of course, KDEN was one of three on the vote list that would be definite buys for me, so I certainly have my own biases!

Hmm, I am surprised that so many people wanted Salt Lake. I suppose that this thread does not represent the market accurately because most people voted for KDEN including myself. I would eventually like Salt Lake but before that I would much rather have KSEA or KPDX. I am not sure if this has ever been discussed at the Flightbeam forums or not. Anyway I got my wish.
