Comments on today's Asiana incident at KSFO

Captains,

We have gotten a number of requests for opinions from me or PMDG regarding today's accident at KSFO.

I have no intention of offering any opinions or conjecture- nor will anyone at PMDG.

We recognize that some users may want to discuss the incident in light of all the studying some of you have been doing in preparation for pending release of the PMDG 777-200LR/F- but as a pilot, former Chief, and active consultant to a number of airlines and media organizations, you won't find me engaging in any guesswork or conjecture.

It is understandable that for many of you it might seem natural to discuss a 777 incident in the PMDG 777 forum, especially since the topic of how the airplane is operated is generally a top concept in our airplane-centered forums- but I would appreciate if we leave the incident for discussion elsewhere.

Our hosts here at AVSim have suggested the Hangar Chat forum is a good place for such discussions for those interested.
