July 11, 201312 yr Hello, I was wondering if someone knows whether or not the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and X real world weather option is working correctly. For some reason the weather under this option seems to be frozen in time and the weather does not update to the most current weather conditions. I did some homework and followed the recommendations prescribed on this Microsoft Bulletin: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841214 To me it seems that there's a issue with Microsoft's servers rather than a problem on my end, and in some people have expressed having a similar problem in other threads found on this forum. Are there any other alternatives to real world weather in FS2004? Thanks for your time! Visit Us at www.virtualeastern.com

July 11, 201312 yr REX has reliable and accurate real time weather updates, using the METAR weather stations that are often located at airports along your journey. If you file a flight plan that weather will update as often as every 100 miles along your journey. I can use my REX to get the current weather report for the real world. If it is raining on my sim at the local airport it is likely to be raining outside my door.
