1st flight with Flight1's King Air B200 - LARGE IMAGES

Recommended Posts

Well my first flight in the KA200 (Concrete Municipal to Darrington Field) went fairly well until it was time to extend the flaps.  Unfortunately I was on final to Darrington field with an approach speed of 130 kts to a rather short strip (of course the proper thing to do was go to a larger field with a longer runway).   During post walk around it is evident that the tires and brakes got some wear....
I now need to find a contract mechanic to look at my flaps and see how long it will take before leaving.

Nice indeed.  I'll be getting mine in a week or two.  Now, about those tires, I can get 'em for you wholesale :-)

So things break on this like A2As airplanes?

Very nice photos though. Besides, of you don't use all the runway, you are wasting it.

You are correct....both sceneries are from ORBX

Yes things do break at the choice of the user.  Using all runway is not necessarilly an option unless you have an emergency that requires more than normal landing.  At least that is they way we professionals prefer to view it. :)  Not much of a choice at Darrington as there is only one exit which sits at the end of both runways.

If I execute several more landing of this nature i may have to take you up on that offer.

Oh I know. I was just joking. Though I didn't know that there was only one exit on that particular runway.

I might have to check that out. How long is that runway anyways?
