SAN Bay Dried Up?

Recommended Posts

The Coronado Bridge and ship yard are on land!??? Any ideas what happened? I re-installed GEX and that didn't fix it.

This can happen if you have UTX Caribbean and UTX USA but don't have the latest patches installed.

I looked into upgrades/patches for GEX and it seems to be a convoluted mess. Spent half a day trying to figure it out and decided the heck with it. Just ridiculous! When FTXG is unveiled next week I'll see what the consensu is. I had a boss 50 years ago that tried his best to make things complicated --  so he would look smart. I think he now works for GEX!

Since GEX is just textures, this looks to be more of a UTX issue. Try re-running the UTX config, not the UTX installer. 99% of the time areas displayed by land textures rather than water is a UTX issue and running the config mgr clears it up.

I cannot wait to uninstall GEX when FTXG comes out, its just terrible and it seems like with every update it gets even worse.

THank you, sillyflyer!! That fixed it!! I had re-run all the installer/configurators several times for both UTX and GEX to no avail. Guess I should spend more time over at SimForums. You know? I think Nick was my old boss, come to think of it!
