What lights in FSX are used by halo.bmp?

Recommended Posts

This halo.bmp file is really confusing me and I'd like to get a clear understanding of how this file is being used inside the FSX world. Does it only affect the runway lights such as the VASI, approach, etc. Or is it more on a global level where it is used on the aircraft as well? I'm trying to fine tune the size and sharpness of my runway lights by using the following entries inside of my fsx.cfg:

RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.65
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.7
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.75
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.5

Does REX, UTX, A2A Shockwave 3D Redux Lights, and FTX Light Tweaker all use this same halo.bmp file as well? Or do each addon use it's own file for lighting? All this tweaking to get everything looking right, I don't want to run the risk of ruining it all by having one of these addons overwrite each other.
