July 27, 201312 yr Do they pay you for advertisment or what? The FlyJSim is sub-par in every aspect other than maybe VC graphics. The dynamics are not right, the systems are incomplete and don't even get me started on that idiotic only-paid-repaints-made-by-us system.... nah they dont. I have capnsim 727 and its still has some bugs like sometimes apu wont work, autopilot ignores you and so on... My friend let me snoop around Flysim and I loved it... more than Ramzees (terrbile 3d modelling) and the CRJ (poor dnyamics) but they are getting better... Maybe in a few years Xplane willl atrract other people and myself but... not today Flying Tigers Group
July 27, 201312 yr Author Try Peter's aircraft A380... Probably the most accurate airbus in terms of flight dynamics and FBW ever designed / implemented for a simulator, being it X-Plane or MSFS... Yes it leaves a lot to be desired in terms of FMGS, and other aspects not simulated, but other than that, I am yest to find an aircraft with the quality of the handling of that model!!! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
July 28, 201312 yr I switched to Xplane last year after having spent hundreds if not thousands (including PC upgrades) of £s in getting FSX to run. It worked well and gave me 30fps but with numerous CTD's, OOMs and it was never stutter free. I don't have any of that with xplane i have a steady 50/70 fps depending on situation. We have 64bit capability, we have a T7 comparbale to any of the PMDG aircraft I have owned and whatever money I am spending on xplane is only what I would have spent on the ailing FSX platform. In fact at present in the past year I have spent less money on Xplane than I would have spent in a year with FSX and there are literally thousands of high quality freeware airports available for Xplane. I have myself become a 3rd party freeware developer and created several airports. We dont really need to wait for PMDG when we have Ramzzezs (T7) and Jardesign group (a320neo) making aircraft. The superb 737 from xEADT is the best flight model of a 737 I have ever flown and a freeware 3dvc is being made for that as I type. Even the default Cessna is a visual treat and better than any default aircraft in FSX. This is not hyperbole this is fact albeit from my pespective. All that said I think the reason there is a delay over the T7 by PMDG is that they want to do a simultaneous release onto FSX and Xplane. It makes sense from a business perspective. As has been noted there are a lot of people out there who still fly FSX and will continue to do so, so it makes sense to release onto both platforms. It's what I would do if I was in Mr Randazzo's shoes, and As we all know he has stated that his team are working very closely with laminar to understand the laminar/Xplane software environment. Wycliffe The 777 and the NEO are not even close to PMDG in system depth and accuracy. I have the 777 and it was disappointing to me. A lot of systems are kind of sort of modeled. Try doing a P/D/B custom way point in your 777 and see what I mean. July 28, 201312 yr If I could bring over my PMDG items, EFB, addons, etc, incl FS2Crew, FSX could color me gone.

July 28, 201312 yr Author Try doing a P/D/B custom way point in your 777 and see what I mean. Simply try getting VNAV working properly... No way, they have to solve a few really basic bugs before we can even consider a comparison with PMDG-like products for FSX, this is my honest, even if somehow "cruel" opinion .... and I'm an X-planer!!!! July 29, 201312 yr Ramzzess 777 and JAR's A320neo aren't even on the same level as the PMDG 737 NGX or Aerosoft's AXE. How can you look at the interior VC modeling and say that it looks good? It doesn't, it looks extremely bad. Don't deny the fact, the plane costs like $59 and up, and the quality of it is just lacking. Same with JAR's A320, at least the VC on that looks a bit better and is constantly being improved by slava. There aren't really any aircraft in X-Plane that I can look at and be like WOW this has it all. A lot of the virtual cockpit detailing is just bad. Only nice looking planes are the Carenado ones. Thank god they make planes for XPX or else I'd probably never would even try using it. At this point in time, I'm excited about the 64 bit and new technology XPX has to offer, but the 3rd party content is really lacking. I know theres a ton of freeware stuff, but honestly, they are not anything thats mind blowing. I still think FSX has some of the best add-ons going for it and that's why I'm currently sticking to it. When or if PMDG, OrbX, FlyTampa, etc, start hopping aboard the XPX ship, then I'd definitely most likely will switch to XPX full time. But for now, there's really a lot of things missing. IXEG 737-300 Looks to be PMDG level. Hopefully it will come out soon. We also need some good GA for X-plane. I am not impressed with carenado systems or FD. I would love to see something on the level of RA or A2A or even the baytower rv-7 that I love.
